You are right (andmy previous affirmation of the two
figures being equal for money is plain wrong, of course).
Right now you have normalized equities and, in brackets,
non normalized ones.
E.g., a last roll situation with the cube at various
levels and the nasty 2-1 coming out for player MaX (only losing roll):
CUBE AT 1
gnubg
MaX
Luck rate (total)
+0.247 ( +0.247) -1.889
( -1.889)
CUBE AT 2
gnubg
MaX
Luck rate (total)
+0.247 ( +0.247) -1.889
( -3.778)
CUBE AT 4
gnubg
MaX
Luck rate (total)
+0.247 ( +0.247) -1.889
( -7.556)
Once again, the really meaningful figure (in terms
of luck measure) is the one in brackets (non-normalized one), hence my proposal
to switch the two figures.
As you said, if you have normalized -X bad luck on
low cubes and symmetrical good normalized luck (+X) on high cubes, the normalized
figure will be 0, but in fact you've been lucky.
