ReiserFS resize

I want to shrik by RiserFS partition by around 700 megs to that i can 
install a minimalistic Windows install (unfortunately i need it for 
work). My question is this, I have plently of space left on this 
partition (approx 15Gig), so if i use parted to resize this partition, 
will it move any data that is towards the end of the partition as it 
shrinks it, or will i lose that data?
