I agree.

Also 
        - latest Parted version and its release date

        - answers to the most often asked questions would be nice

        - reiserfs usage warning (and disabling it until fixed)

        - potential geometry corruption warning

If there is unique content then it should be moved to Alioth too then
deleted. Disabling savannah CVS would still confuse people.

Yes, if you can, please just go ahead and do it. I'm sure Andrew agrees
too and would be glad. He doesn't have the time for doing everything and
always invited others to contribute too.

Unfortunately I can't help anything (I'm maintainer of some other open
source tools and those already would need more time than spare time I
actually have).
