Right, that's towards the excruciatingly correct approach, which should also include a configure-time test. The pain might be worth it, though
That'd be even better. While you're at it, you could use the new approach for every program that has a main+argc+argv. I was too lazy to do any of this, though; I just did the minimal change to get it to work. Porting is supposed to be relaxing, no?
