installing to /usr/local (the default setting right
now),
will require that you run sourceinstall-gtk (or
sourceinstall) with privileges. On 0.x, this was
solved with a login window on the GUI, but this is not
general enough for the new architecture.
The new way of handling this (at least for now) is to
either run the front end as user root, or via sudo.
In the first case, installed packages will belong to
root's sourceinstall identity.
In the second case, installed packages will belong to
the real user's sourceinstall identity.
Remember that, same as with 0.x, each user (even root)
has _his_ sourceinstall identity, so his installed
packages don't show up to other users.
Just telling since there's no such thing as 2.x
documentation yet.
