Other link errors refer to the functions that are in libc on unices.
If mingw does not provide wrappers for them, then I'm afraid it is
impossible to solve right now. Frankly, I am very unwilling to add
any more `#if MSDOS' to the code... Actually I am going to remove those
we have now by providing some kind of convenience library. But that
will take some time.
