Sergey

Actually I would prefer if the --checkpoint option worked as it was
documented.

Printing a message every 10 blocks of the tape generates FAR too much
output. I was just restoring a tape that was over 290,000 blocks long
BEFORE it got to the bit of the archive I was interested in. That is WAY
too much output on my terminal, especially as I use a fast and very high
capacity AIT tape drive - my terminal emulator was probably slowing down the
process because it took longer to send each checkpoint message via Telnet
that it took to read to the next 10 block point on the tape. I would prefer
that at --checkpoint either prints each directory name as it goes, or that
you could do something like --checkpoint=X, where X represents the number of
blocks between checkpoint messages, with a more reasonable default of at
least 100 (but maybe 1000).

Thanks

Jason

Thanks for the noticing. The docs are wrong, I have just fixed this
inconsistency.
