GNU tar already has way too many command line options. If people are going to have to change scripts to avoid these warnings, they may as well do it in a more robust way that won't break with other tar implementations. "-B -b 1" is far more portable.
Sergey proposed an option to _enable_ the message, so no people are going to change scripts to avoid the warning.
