Ah. I did misread that. Thanks for the correction. However, I'm still unconvinced. Why does it not suffice to enable the warning only when the input is a device? All of the complaints about this have come from emitting the warning when the input was a regular file or pipe. The warning is clearly not helpful in either of those cases. Tim
