Maybe I miss-remembered as both were contemporary to each other
discussions. The point that bothers me a little since I'd prefer my
distros packaging system handled the updates, is that if the patch we
amanda users need was pushed on Nov 22, 2010, and 6 weeks later it is still
simmering in the release queue while we sit and wait, doesn't seem quite
right. 1.24 broke some stuff, so 1.25 was pushed right out into the cloud
of smoke from the 1.24 release, seems to me 1.26 with that patch should
have been right on its heels, not still sitting on the back burner 6 weeks
later.

Granted, it is not a zero day exploit of yet another hole in an M$ product
like they get hung on their coat rack weekly it seems, but to us it's as
important, or more so since the majority of us don't allow any more M$ on
the premises than we can help.

Thanks Nathan, I'll go back to lurking & playing the amanda canary now.

Have a Happy, healthy and prosperous 2011 everyone.
