Hi Elita,

Please use first names with us. This isn't a formal setup, and we're all a
lot more comfortable being called directly by our names.

Regarding the bug, did you go through the comments and the links posted
there? By the fix that you propose, what are  the exact behavioural changes
to expect? And why do you think that it is the right way forward?

You must remember that all bug reports are not valid. As a developer, it is
our responsibility to identify the correct expected behaviour using the
specification documentation.

P.S. I'm taking this conversation on the mailing list. Discussing a bug
report and a future patch is best done there.
