I'd just like to give an update on the status of the mailing lists.

For the time being, the following are the primary mail lists:

* address@hidden (this one) for general discussion
* address@hidden -- discussion with engine team only
* address@hidden -- discussion with editor team only

If something needs to be confidential to the DCS, please use
address@hidden  Otherwise, the above should be preferred, as
they are archived (e.g. http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/cashew-s/),
search-able and automatically handle the Reply-To field.

The -patches lists will be used when code hacking is up to full speed
(probably next semester).  The -auto lists are designed for automated
notifications for CVS, the bug trackers, etc. and not generally for user
posting.
