DDD installation on mandrake linux 9.0 problems?

Hi,
I am a newbie to the linux world and am trying to
install  ddd. I have mandrake 9.0 on my laptop.
cd ddd-3.3/
./configure

I am getting the following messages at the end
checking for xmUseVersion in -lXm... no
checking for XmInstallImage in -lXm... no
checking for Xm21InstallImage in -lXm... no
configure: error: The Motif library '-lXm' could not
be found.
                  Please use the configure options
'--with-motif-includes=DIR'
                  and '--with-motif-libraries=DIR' to
specify the Xm location.
                  See the files 'config.log' and
'ddd/config.log'
                  for further diagnostics.
configure: error: ./configure failed for ddd




and it looks like I have the Xm libraries.

am I missing some thing here.

I tried couple of other things like installing lesstif
and stuff 
when I do 
rpm -i lesstif-0.93.34-2cl.i386.rpm
package lesstif-0.93.34-2mdk (which is newer than
lesstif-0.93.34-2cl) is already installed
So it looks like I already have the lesstif libraries.

Do I need to install anything else?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
