Details:

when you insert a key signature change it always puts it at the end of the
measure with the cursor. This is despite that it will be printed at the
beginning of the following measure (that is, after the barline). Even more
tricky, if you change from C-major to A-minor, you can have a key change
object there which you can't see in the display ... 
Lastly, I have a suspicion that if you get up the insert key signature dialog
and choose "ok" without having selected anything - because you want C-major -
it doesn't register that you want C-major.
