I've run the default install of this and it is working apart from the
Evince widget not finding the PDF backend.
Another, very minor, problem is the "stock icons" - the ones for the
toolbar that has Open, New, Cut, Paste etc. - none of these are found. I
think they are deprecated in GTK, not sure what you are supposed to do
about them. This version has very nice tooltips however, and proper
frames so it is not all backwards.

Not having the PDF backend in Evince is something we've battled with
before IIRC
