Dear GNU Radio,
I managed to build today's CVS version of GNU Radio on me fifteen-inch
aluminum PowerBook running Panther by:
1) Reading README carefully
2) Resolved a majority of dependencies using <http://fink.sf.net/>
3) Made a symbolic link /usr/include/python ->
/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.3.0.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/
Python.framework/Versions/2.3/include/python2.3
4) Used the fused-multiply add instruction version of FFTW with the
--enable-float switch
5) In src/gnu/lib/gr/generate_all.py changed /bin/env to /usr/bin/env
6) Commented out the bits referred to in
<http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/discuss-gnuradio/2003-05/
msg00023.html>
7) Commenting out the line at src/gnu/lib/omnithread/posix.cc:872 that
gave error: `clock_gettime' undeclared (first use this function)
8) Added /usr/local/bin to the path to get SWIG
9) Grabbed FreeBSD's copy of soundcard.h and stuck it in /usr/include/
to resolve a few values in src/gnu/lib/grio/GrAudioSink.h
I'm happy and excited to have an instance of GNU Radio built on a
laptop with USB 2 potential. Anywho I suppose I'm going to have to do
some actual work now.
Any requests, suggestions or advice?
Thanks,
Darrin Eden
