IIRC, about a year (or two?) ago, Don announced a new version of MiscKit
for OSX. I've been checking the URL every now and then, but it still
looks kinda dead...

... which got me started on something similar to MiscKit.
If there really is interest, I can offer access to CVS and a Wiki.
