Yeah, I think the comment correct. That bug was fixed in 2.3 but I
reintroduced it in 2.5 while cleaning up and refactoring the code. Sorry
about that.

I would hope this fixes the problem.
I cannot test this myself since I do not happen to own a machine with
more than 2 GB of memory ;) Please let me know if it works for you.
