It means that gcc can not be used (in general) to compile
programs for the DotGNU platform.
Rhys is working on a Free C# -> IL compiler, and there is a whole
family of languages which can already be compiled to Java bytecode.
Therefore, even without gcc support, DotGNU can be successful in
its main objectives.
But in order for DotGNU to be a well-integrated part of the GNU
system, it should be possible to use gcc for compiling programs
for the DotGNU platform. So think this is not urgent, but
important in the long run.
