Thanks for the replies regarding mkisofs...

Now I have it, still I have a bit of a trouble with 2 or 3 messages here and 
there with ifogen and (maybe mkisofs, but most likely as a consequence of 
ifogen)

++++++++++++++++++++++ 1st part+++++++++++Ifogen++++++++++++++
using ifogen (dvdauthor-0.2.0) as :

ifogen -o /VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.IFO /VIDEO_TSVTS_01_1.VOB
segfaults 100 % of the time (despite the message produced by ifogen about its 
syntax)

--f : invalid option 

or 

ifogen dvd/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB > dvd/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_0.IFO

fixing VOBU at 257MB (352/358, 98%)

BTW original file is produced by mplex and is 274782208 b in size.
