Yes, original package is ok.  A single `*' character is added
only in Debian.

To underline Info titles, like this:

Title
*****

I assumed that there is no title shorter than two characters,
so only a sequence of two or more `*' characters could fontify
the previous line in Info-title-1-face.

But I think we have nothing to do here - Debian developers should fix 
menu lines with a single `*' character.
