    Let me see if I understand how you think here ;-)

    The structural unit needed are those for defining the chunks. They must
    contain info like:

Are you saying that a list of major modes is not sufficient
for defining the mumamo mode to combine them.

If so, I guess my idea won't work.  Oh well.
