I think it's a fundamental problem with the whole bzr project -- it
_seems_ like their original goal was svn-style "simple" user workflows,
hiding all the details, but then they tried to somehow mix in more
advanced DVCS functionality, and so far haven't done a very good job of
resolving the inevitable conflicts, or explaining to users how to
understand them.

[Git's approach, which is basically to expose the internal model fairly
early, and base a lot of the documentation around it, results in a
slightly steeper initial learning curve, but I think it also yields much
happier and more able users in the end.  Of course part of this is
because git has a very useful and understandable internal model.]
