Hello all, I wonder if Emacs can provide a make-uuid function to generate RFC4122 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc4122.txt) Universally Unique IDentifiers. Many elisp packages have already come up with their own either by calling external tool uuidgen or implementing a dumbed-down version. Leo
