The underlying data structure is what we want to edit.
It needs to have a representation that's amenable to
revision control. [...] With lots of newlines.
That should merge properly.
Anybody up for this?
Check out the .ixin files in:
http://www.gnuvola.org/software/ixin/ixin-1.8.tar.xz
Then, ask yourself: Do you want to edit .ixin directly?
Why, or why not? (See also c/spit.el in that tarball.)
