Can you reproduce this bug? Bootstrapping seems to work perfectly
fine for me. Does the problem still occur if one does
`make maintainer-clean' before bootstrapping? This used to be done
automatically as part of bootstrapping, but that has recently been
removed. This removal has led to several reports about trouble during
bootstrapping, that were just due to failure to run
`make maintainer-clean'.
