highliting text with the mouse and then hitting the delete key will
delete the hightlited text as expected but only the first time.
It isn't normal for the DELETE key to behave this way at all.
It deletes the following character, regardless of whether anything
is highlighted.
Did you customize something that would change the behavior of
the DELETE key?
