previous-error in occur-mode does nothing

Symptoms:

When I use 'emacs -Q' and I do on a selected buffer 'occur' then the
function 'next-error' shows the next occurence of the choosen search
string. If I use the function 'previous-error' then nothing happens.

Note, with compile-mode previous-error works fine.
