Most definitely. I'm usually rather unhappy when I, due the jump- several-visual-lines behavior, have to move the point to where I need it to be, often with the mouse...
BTW, I should note that there's nothing stopping DTWW proponents from maintaining a separate DTWW branch/patch to get more experience with the issue (I maintain my own Emacs branches too)! Real honest-to-god data is a great advantage in any debate...
Yes, I've done that for my branch now which is used by a bunch of beta-testers.
