I think he means when the format when the task is originally created.

However, parsing such a formatting string may be a lot of work.  I
took a quick look to see if planner-create-task would allow such a
thing easily, and it looks complicated.  The problem is compounded
because task-ids are a hook, rather then part of the integral task
creation.  Maybe when tasks get reworked with additional
functionality?

Sounds cool!  I'd like to see it pop up the calendar, maybe a list of
favourites.  My only issue with this is the way emacs handles windows
makes the browser a bit of a mess pretty quickly.
