Isn't this a bug, or at least an undesirable feature?
Suppose you already have a day page that's loaded with content. The
file will get replaced by a new one with either diary content or 'No
entries.' Ideally, if the day page exists, any diary content should
be merged into it.
BTW, I just started using planner yesterday and diary the day before
that, so I may be more than a bit clueless. In fact, this scenario
occurred because I started using planner-diary.el after I created a
day page, and I hadn't created a diary entry for the day. That's
something an intelligent user wouldn't ordinarily do.
