 I don't quite understand your question.

 Are you saying that planner-diary erased content on your day page
 outside of what was in your "*Diary" section?

No.  I didn't have content on my day page outside the *Diary section.
All the content for my day page resided in the *Diary section.  It was
this content that was eliminated.  So my question was, "Is this a bug
or a feature?"

Did I mention that I'm a Planner newbie? :-)

I see. I'd call it a feature, since I wouldn't want there to be outdated and inaccurate information hanging out in my *Diary section.

But maybe I should add a note in the docs so that people have a better idea what to expect, and don't have to lose any work to find out.
