I figured it out! planner--dev--1.0--patch-143 should be much smarter
about tasks with (parenthesized non-link text) in them. Could you
please confirm? Then I can merge the patch into stable. Thanks!

I rarely use parenthetical notes in my tasks (maybe that planner.el
bug trained me to avoid them ;) )... but now it should work. =)
