You can set planner-tasks-file-behavior to 'close:
,----[ C-h v planner-tasks-file-behavior RET ]
| planner-tasks-file-behavior's value is close
|
| Controls behavior of task creation and updates.
| If 'close, newly-opened files are saved and closed.
| If 'save, newly-opened files are saved and left open.
| If nil, no actions will be taken.

| You can customize this variable.
