[emacs-wiki-discuss] Escaping '=' in markup |

Can anyone tell me how I escape an "=" that I want to appear inside
verbatim markup? I'm going back through a largish technical weblog
that was marked up in one system and I'm transferring it to
planner/emacs-wiki, but some things seem to have me stumped.
If I try and mark up something like "..use =--certfile=your-cert.der=
to specify..", then how do I escape the "=" in the middle of the line?
I've tried <nop> in front of it (to no effect).
thanks,
Adrian
