Unfortunately, planner-mode inherits a high learning code from emacs.
As it stands currently, emacs is not an editor which you can just pick
up and go the first time.  (Or, at least, not in my experience.)

Installing planner mode and setting it up, unfortunately, requires
putting a bunch of stuff in your .emacs to get it working right.
While I don't percieve that as bad, it certainly slows down the
learning time.

A solution might be a script which makes a ~/Planner/ directory and
appends some of the basic configuration to get planner running to
one's .emacs.  This, accompanied with a simple "quickstart" tutorial,
might get users playing around with it faster.
