[emacs-wiki-discuss] Org mode vs Planner

While looking through the emacs info pages last night, I discovered
that org-mode is now (or will be) a part of the standard (emacs 22) 
distribution. 

I've never used either it, or planner, but was thinking of the need
for something like this. It seems to me that it covers a lot of the 
same application space as planner. 

Can anyone comment on the similarities between the two?
