[fluid-dev] Fluid 1.0.2 compile problems

Please could someone help me out with this one.

   I downloaded version 1.0.2 of Fluid, hoping that the problems that
I'd been experiencing with V1.0.1 (locking up my PC solidly every
half-hour or so) would be gone. Unfortunately I can't get it to compile.
The './configure' doesn't seem to throw up any errors, but these are the
last few lines of error I get when doing 'make':

==============================================================
fluid_voice.c: In function `fluid_voice_optimize_sample':
fluid_voice.c:2012: parse error before `normalized_amplitude_during_loop'
fluid_voice.c:2013: `normalized_amplitude_during_loop' undeclared (first use in
this function)
fluid_voice.c:2013: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
fluid_voice.c:2013: for each function it appears in.)
fluid_voice.c:1979: warning: `result' might be used uninitialized in this
function
make[2]: *** [libfluidsynth_la-fluid_voice.lo] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/fluidsynth-1.0.2/src'
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/fluidsynth-1.0.2/src'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
==============================================================

   Unfortunately I'm no sort of C programmer, so I'm completely at a
loss to understand what this means and how to fix it. V1.0.1 compiled
and installed perfectly on the same system, which is kernel 2.1.18 with
Slackware 8.1 on an Athlon with 256Mb RAM, and Alsa V0.9.4 (using a
Via 82Cxx driver) installed.

   Any help very gratefully accepted - thanks!

   Cheers,

      Gerald.

P.S. Is it usual on this list for the 'digest' to appear only once a
week or so?
