[fluid-dev] fluidsynth on AWS Linux

Attempting to use "sudo yum install fluidsynth" on AWS Linux fails with these messages:

No package fluidsynth available.

Error: Nothing to do

Using yum to install other packages,  such as lame, on AWS Linux works fine.  And I’ve successfully installed fluidsynth on Ubuntu using "sudo apt-get install fluidsynth" and on Mac using "brew install fluidsynth”.

Perhaps this just means that no Linux yum distribution is available for fluidsynth, but the net is littered with pages citing that installation method:

So the questions:

1.  Is a Linux binary package available?

2.  If so, which repository?

3.  If not, where might I find useful instructions for building from source?
