One user was waxing lyrical on L4T yesterday about wxPython, you might ask 
him.

As for me, I can whole-heartedly recomment tcl as a scripting language for 
prototyping, and tk as the GUI builder. GUIs are incredibly easy to build 
with tk. There are several online tutorials. tk has been adapted for use with 
several other languages and tcl/tk runs on both Linux and Windows.

Excuses, excuses! What's to stop you slotting in a new hard drive (60 Euro?), 
or partitioning an existing one? With Knoppix, you could have a Linux machine 
in two hours, including time to fit the hardware.

With Dan's help, I'm currently working on installing it on Knoppix. But 
OmegaT has priority with me of course.

Why was it not inspiring?
How far did Julien get with installation?
Why is it not exactly what you are looking for, and since it is now 
open-source, what's to stop you modifying it?
