libart is a nice toolkit though it's still pretty rough and
Raph is spending more of his time on GhostScript these days rather
than libart. You might want to also consider ImageMagick
(<http://www.imagemagick.org>), which also now (as of the 5.2.5
release) has a MUCH nicer quality (and equivalently fast) vector
primitive engine (along with all sorts of other cool stuff).
Also, for anyone doing commercial stuff, ImageMagick has NO
commercial license fees or contract or anything - you just use it.
libart is, however, commercially licensed by Artifex
(<http://www.artofcode.com>) at a rather hefty fee.
