Well, sure, it's trivial to optimise. However, I don't think it will really
produce a distinguishable performance boost, given that this the square
is only a very small part of the BBox computation.

I don't think it's really useful to add right now, given that I don't
think it's going to be heavily used by the rest of FreeType or even
client applications..
