David is the author of the CFF driver. I just got vocal about it, made some
additions and bug fixes, and then faded away for a while. :)
As for my opinion, I agree that The Type 2 charstring parser could be moved to
psaux, and I believe at one time David had mentioned doing this. I hope he
chimes in with his opinion on the matter.

OK, this is also fine by me, but then again, the final decision is not mine to
make.
I did not know you were doing stuff for Artifex. Cool! If you use IRC at all,
I hang out on #ghostsctipt using one the openprojects.org IRC server. We can
talk there about stuff related to the CFF driver, if you so desire.
