[Devel] ft 9.2.3 on osX

i want to try out berlin/fresco coz it looks rather cool but it wants a 
ft>9.2.3 and i have 9.0.3. now i tried usning fink update, then the 
version number of the local version was higher so i removed the fink 
version again. i installed the newest one from freetype on source forge 
but freetype-config still reports version 9.0.3...

how do i get the required version installed?? do i need to point 
something somewhere?
