The FreeType license is similar to BSD *plus* an advertising clause.

This is also explicitly described in the license text...

advertising materials: `FreeType Project', `FreeType Engine',
`FreeType library', or `FreeType Distribution'.
In other words, it's sufficient to mention FreeType in your documentation.
