Doing releases is a pain for me since I'm sitting behind a 28.8k
modem.

Robert, David, can someone do a 2.0.1 release?  It should be rather
straightforward:

  . configure.in's version_info string should be set to 6:1:0

  . A proper entry in the ChangeLog file

  . Updating the CHANGES file

  . the usual CVS tagging
