[Freetype] doubt

Hello!

Excuse me, if I post not in the right list, please!

I can't get my fonts antialiased.
at first i will explain what i did...

1. install XFree86.
2. compile and install FreeType 2.0.1

still no AA fonts i.e. ttf are displayed aliased.
I read and used the XftConfig provided by Keith P.

I have Qt-2.3.0 and KDE-2.1.2

still aliased...
3. after installed FreeType 2.0.1 I compile and install XFree again with 
#define for FreeType2 location in host.def

and :-( no antialiased fonts  here.

why?

Have I to recompile Qt-2.3.0 ?
