OK, can someone tell me how this spammer has got hold of this address?
It is only used for this mailing list, has the membership list been
compromised? Has anyone else on the list had the same spam to their
list receiving address?

In my experience, windows users happily download and double click on anything with a happy icon, whether or not it has an .exe extension, without considering the consequences of any EULA the program comes with. I know windows users who will surely download and install programs even if there is a EULA which explicitly says "This program will index the data on your computer ... The index may then be transmitted and used for any purpose".

Your email can leak out by someone forwarding a message from this list to one of the many such users.
