Hello: I am having a problem installing the above debugger. I've downloaded "all" the documentation/files & they all show a version number associated with the release. The GDB I downloaded from REDHAT did not have any version number other then -5.1.1. While attempting to configure the above I tried everything as shown *'/configure', '/bfd', '/gdb', '/include', '/libiberty', '/opcodes', '/readline', '/mmalloc', *'/glob'. Note: the two highlighted ones do not even exist. My OS is Windows 'XP' home edition. I also tried the 'CD' command to change the directory GDB-5.1.1 with ./configure & MAKE as shown in the documentation (pg 275 PDF version ./configure host make). I realize I must be doing something wrong but for the life of me I don't know what it is. Any help would be appreciated. I would sure like to use GDB. One last thing, I can only find two executables in my directory (after download) to "C:\GDB\GDB-5.1.1\UTILS\MSDOS\BIN" these are 'MON030.BAT' & 'MON29K.BAT'. Am I missing something? By the way I'm an old F..T, but I've been programming mainframes from their conception. Using 'AUTOCODE/COBOL/CICS(MACRO & COMMAND)/BAL' on all frames, including 1401 thru 3090. If you need any help let me know what I can do to help you guys. William Mc Coy |
