Save it and enter file with C-c C-a > 4. Type `(li[TAB]' This one completes fine for me, and immediately. What versions of Emacs and Racket are you using? Emacs 24.3.50.1 and Racket 5.3.1 here... Do you have any customization for geiser? Can you try starting with: $ emacs -q -l <path-to-geiser>/elisp/geiser.el (just to make sure that no other customization in your emacs is interferring).
